This is a second hand AYA No.2 Roundbody 12 bore with 28” barrels choked at 1/4 & 3/4 - a perfect choice for a mixture of driven partridge and pheasant shooting locally or further afield. The balance of this gun is excellent, the handling is reasonably lively but there is enough barrel weight to steady the swing on longer shots. This gun would be capable of comfortably firing 32gr cartridges in 2 3/4" cases making it suitable for taller game too. The barrels and chamber length will be suitable for certain steel shot loads moving forwards although the 3/4 would need to be opened up to 1/2 or just under (rough cost of £60-70).

The overall condition is very good - the attractive scroll engraved round action is tight and retains much of the original colour hardening, the stock is nicely figured remaining in tidy condition with just the odd small mark showing - the LOP is now 16" having been extended with a 1" leather covered pad. The barrels are clean internally and externally the blueing is good.
