AYA 12 gauge #53 Sidelock

Description

A very fine pre-owned example of this exquisite AYA sidelock; the top Spanish brand offering so much to modern shooting. The No. 53 is exceptionally well regarded and has been in production since the 1950's. It is similar to a No.56 in that it employs a Purdey triple bite and side clips, and is beautifully engraved in a traditional ribbon and floral pattern. This 12 bore dates from 1952 and has detachable locks and double triggers. The 27 1/2” barrels are choked 1/4 and 1/2, and are beautifully balanced by a 14 1/2" straight hand stock.
