Rottweil 12 gauge Paragon

Description

Rottweil Paragon 12 gauge O/U competition shotgun, with two barrel sets.

This unique shotgun was designed to compete head on with guns from Perazzi and Krieghoff in the target shotgun market. Primarily aimed at OSK, the gun features a drop-out trigger group, ejectors that can be set for automatic or manual, a top lever that can be converted to right or left operation and other features including full interchangeability of barrels and stocks. It is beautifully balanced and offers virtually no recoil.

Relatively few were manufactured, between 1988 - 1990, making this gun quite rare.

Comes with two barrel sets:

Target barrels, 27.5 inch fixed choke - skeet and skeet - with narrow ventilated top rib, matching 1-piece Schnabel forend with Anson-type button release. Serial No. L10931

Field barrels, 29.5 inch fixed choke - three quarters and full - with narrow ventilated top rib and matching 1-piece beavertail forend with Anson-type button release. Serial No. L11380

The barrel sets are interchangeable with the action, giving you two guns in one - one for skeet and one for English sporting and/or game. Both barrel sets are marked "Dynamit Nobel" and "Made in Germany" on monoblocs.

Polished coin finished action with drop-out trigger group is marked "Rottweil Paragon" on both sides. Bottom marked "Dynamite Nobel, Germany" flanked by scroll engraving. Action is tight, as the gun has seen little use in recent years. European walnut pistol grip stock with a rubber sporting-clays type pad, measures 14.5 inches. Serial No. S50629.
