Victor Chapman Best Quality 20 Bore Sidelock ejector. Commissioned gun complete in Maker’s oak and leather case in Canvas Transport cover with range of accessories. Beautiful condition with very little sign of use. Stocked at 14 7/8” in a finely figured walnut pistol grip stock. Steel engraved grip cap and butt plate tips. Beavertail fore-end with Anson release. Fine chequering and drop points behind action. Bright bar action Sidelocks with deep Acanthus and Scroll engraving. Gold inlay banner reading “Victor Chapman”. Gold inlay cocking indicators. Barrels at 27” choked 3/4 and 1/2. Concave game rib engraved with “Victor Chapman, London, England” Deep gloss bluing throughout. Classic small bore side by side game gun Victor Chapman made a name importing and commissioning best quality guns from some of the finest makers. This is an outstanding example.
