CONTINENTAL ARMS CORPORATION N.Y. 12G OVER AND UNDER SHOTGUN. IMPERIAL CROWN GRADE 12g Continental Arms Corporation N. Y. Over and Under Shotgun. Made in Belgium exclusively for CAC in New York this is the Highest Grade option Ever made. 29 ½” (750mm) Full Choked barrels with standard 2 ¾” (70mm) chambers and a ¼” (6mm) Ventilated Top Rib. File cut and fitted with a double white sighting beads. Right barrel stamped with Made in Belgium for Continental Arms Corporation N.Y. The left detailed Centaure Liege – Nitro Proof – Imperial Crown Grade. Overall the gun measures 47” (1195mm) with a stock pull length of 14 3/8” (365mm). Weight 7 Lbs 13 oz (3.544 Kg). Single Selective Trigger Box Lock Ejector Action with the Barrel selector rocker switch positioned to the rear of the trigger. Given both barrels have the same choke it begs the question of why but it is what it is. Most likely, given the best model available, it was down to someone specifying tight chokes in both tubes when being made. ‘Stupidly’ Strong Action with 4 locking points. Two longitudinally at the bottom and two cross ways at the top. Very little evidence to suggest much use at all so far. Top lever is still off set right so still has to ‘settle in’ to the central position. Fine 24 line per inch Hand Cut Chequering still clean, crisp and sharp to the touch. A Gold Inlay Imperial Crown to the top lever sat above the Bright Finished Scallop Backed Action. That enhanced with Hand Cut Scroll Work Engraving to the shoulders and main frame. Plus depictions of a Dog on point to Game Birds on each side and a rising Duck to the bottom. Excellent wood to metal finish to the Highly Decorative Walnut Stock. That with a Very Unusual ‘rainbow’ like Grain pattern. A VERY SOLIDLY made gun but with ‘Fine / Petite’ Proportions. You do not need a big hand to have a Very comfortable grip. Un-used inlayed flush Shield shape initials escutcheon to the bottom of the stock too. Research on line sees lower grade examples selling regularly in the US for 3 – 4000$. Given guns (along with most other stuff) sells considerably cheaper over there this will very likely end up exported. Grab a RARE sought after gun that is also a BARGAIN for what it is. £1499.99 WORRIED ABOUT STEEL SH-T ISSUE? DO PLEASE READ ON: THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth? Anyway, take a look for yourself: https://www.hortonguns.com/?page_id=819 NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET. YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond! On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons. RING for an update and keep checking the web site. TO ALL CUSTOMERS OLD AND NEW: Please do check out the Company Web Site direct at https://www.emma-rifles.co.uk There are a LOT more guns as well as other equipment listed there along with PILES of items including guns not yet advertised. It is ALWAYS worth asking for what you are looking for! Anything not readily available and happy to try and source. Whatever it may be.
